I have been a big fan of Chris Muir's online comic Day by Day, which loves poking fun at the establishment and has a delightful libertarian bent.  Right now Chris is having his annual support drive for the website, so please drop by and make a donation.

      

Getting back at it

I have been sidelined from the blog nation for a few weeks due to some personal issues which have occurred along with potential changes at work which might affect me. 

As Summer is beginning to approach here, I will now find out how much a difference in my electric bill will occur compared to previous summers at the old house.  I know it will be lower; just how much lower than the previous years we soon shall see.

Meanwhile it is typical day off stuff happenings going on right now, mainly laundry and cleaning.  So back at it I go...

Traveling around and enjoying vacation time

I am currently taking advantage of 2 whole weeks of vacation time and am currently in Texas visiting friends.  In a few days I'll be in New Mexico visiting family for a couple of days, then slowly meander my way back to Vegas via Arizona.

So far am having a good time and enjoying myself.  I even did a little blog publicity when at the local convenience store and was asked to donate a dollar for the regional children's hospital.  So I did and in addition to writing my name on their I added the URL for the blog.

Let's see what happens next...
